In this hands-on sewing class, you’ll learn how to make your own reusable, eco-friendly bread bags—perfect for storing and carrying fresh loaves, rolls, or homemade baked goods. Whether you’re a beginner or have some sewing experience, this class will walk you through the entire process, from selecting fabric to sewing the final product.
What You’ll Learn:
Choosing the right fabric for durability and breathability
Basic sewing techniques for beginners (and a few tips for those with experience)
How to sew a drawstring closure to keep bread fresh
How to make a bento style bag
Adding decorative elements to personalize your bags
Materials Provided:
Pre-cut fabric pieces in various colors and patterns
Drawstring cords
Sewing machines and tools
What to Bring:
Your own fabric, if you’d like something specific (optional)
You’re own machine (optional) if you want more practice
A notebook for taking notes (optional)
