How-to Add Pockets

Join us for an informative sewing workshop focused on adding in-seam pockets to your garments! Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this hands-on class will teach you the techniques needed to seamlessly integrate pockets into your projects. Becky will guide you through selecting the right fabric, measuring, and cutting your pocket pieces, as well as sewing them into the side seams of your favorite garments. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a stylish piece with functional pockets and the confidence to tackle this versatile sewing technique in future projects. Bring a garment to work on, and let’s create something practical and beautiful together! (If you don’t have a garment there will be extra fabric to practice on!)
Becky Jane studied pattern making and design at Apparel and Arts in San Francisco, and has been teaching sewing and pattern drafting for 10+ years. She’s also the owner of By Becky Jane where she creates and sells custom apparel and accessories.
